Welcome to the Virginia McDavid for Texas House - District 138 Campaign Website.
I am embarking on a long journey over the next 12 months to restore true representation for District 138 and Texas, and I need your help! Like you, I'm dissatisfied with the lack of leadership coming out of Austin to deal with serious Texas problems. That's why I am running; because I feel in my heart that our state is headed in the wrong direction, and I want to make a positive difference for Texas families. The working families I know care about affordable health care, strong public schools, secure neighborhoods, and a healthy environment. I know you do, too.

Cinco de Mayo represents an important date in Hispanic history as the hard-fighting Mexican army warded off the invasion of Napoleon III and his French troops into their country. Although not a US holiday, it does represent an “old world, new world” clash typical in the American hemisphere where indigenous people and soldiers fought hard to stave off colonial rule and exercise self-sovereignty. Their success certainly deserves a toast! Viva el Mundo Nuevo!
